There are times that things go together when we think they shouldn't, like fire and ice. It might fall under the definition of a paradox. "Fried Ice Cream" is one of things my mind doesn't seem to process. Often a painting will tell me what the title should be after I have nearly or completely finished it. This is one of those. I wanted to create a contrast of color, depth, and texture. Contrasting things doesn't always mean they clash or fight against each other. Contrast can be complimentary, quiet, and peaceful.
