I am In progress now! Light is one of the greatest gifts we experience. It reveals guides, and gives life to what we see. 

I am interested in how light can move through color, texture, and layers of paint to create depth and meaning. When light is exposed and given room to work, it becomes something powerful. It can lift a painting, but it can also speak to the viewer in a deeper way.

I want my work to do more than decorate a wall. I want it to invite reflection, touch the heart, and remind us that life is short, time is valuable, and eternity matters.

Wild Florals brings together my most expressive abstract floral paintings. These works begin with the idea of a bouquet or garden, then push past representation into fields of color, gesture, and texture. Layers of acrylic and oil build up into tactile surfaces, while fiery oranges, reds, and yellows clash and harmonize with cooler grays and blues—like flowers caught in shifting weather and changing light.

Rather than depicting specific blooms, each painting captures the energy of growth, movement, and brief, brilliant moments before they fade.

This collection reimagines landscape and environment as fields of sensation—heat, distance, light, and weather—rather than mapped locations. Horizons hover inside layered bands of color; drips, veils, and scraped passages hint at open fields, distant tree lines, and changing skies. The work invites viewers to recognize their own remembered places in these abstract terrains.

The Heat Fields series explores what heat feels like when translated into paint—noon glare, radiating pavement, and the charged air before a storm. Warm reds, oranges, and ochres press against cool blues and greys, while layers of texture, drips, and glazes create the sense of vibrating, distorted atmosphere. These works sit between abstract landscape and pure color field, inviting viewers to step into an environment of intensity rather than a specific scene.

Portals in Stone gathers my mixed media abstractions that draw directly from geology, erosion, and weathered surfaces. In these works, I layer paint with textured mediums and embedded materials—stones, aggregates, and fabric—to evoke the feeling of fractured rock, fault lines, and sedimentary layers. Vertical seams, circular windows, and central rifts appear again and again, suggesting portals or passages within the earth itself.

Color in this series often balances the weight of stone-tinted grays and deep blues with flashes of ember-like reds and oranges, creating a tension between solidity and energy. Each painting invites the viewer to stand at the edge of a threshold—looking into something ancient, unseen, and slowly transforming.
