Where Light Shines

Where Light Shines considers the power of light and the way it stands out to gain the eye of the viewer. In this work, I did not treat light as decoration or effect, but as presence — something spiritual, alive, and deeply connected to the human experience. It moves through layers of color and texture, finding its way across the surface and allowing hidden forms, depths, and relationships to emerge. Light is an amazing thing.

The painting is built through successive layers, transparency, and textured passages that invite the viewer to look slowly and return. I am interested in how light can guide the eye, create focal strength, and bring balance through composition while still leaving room for mystery. The use of color, surface, and depth reflects the idea that what is most meaningful is often not immediately seen but gradually revealed.

In this way, Where the Light Shines becomes more than an image. It is an invitation to reflect on the light within all of us — a reminder that life is brief, spirit is real, and what we choose to notice has lasting value.
