Beyond the Edge explores the tension between what can be seen and what lies just beyond perception. Through layered acrylic paint, textured passages, and intuitive mark-making, I build a surface that feels both grounded and elusive. The work moves between restraint and release, allowing color, form, and texture to emerge gradually as the painting reveals itself. The tension of the ungrounded land-like structures appear floating in space seems to invite me in but say to me this is not a place a permanent stay. The light invites me to move further in and find my solidly supported place of comfort I call home.
